1. Leveling before laying

The base layer should be cleaned before tiling. If there are lime plaster, latex paint, wallpaper and other decorations on the wall, or dirt on the ground, it must be cleaned up, otherwise the cement mortar will not bond firmly to the base layer; in addition, if the wall itself If there are cracks, proper treatment should be done before the bricks can be pasted, so as to avoid cracking or falling off of the wall bricks caused by the cracks in the basic structure in the future; there is also a cement wall that needs to be roughened. , but also use cement mortar for leveling.

2. The order of laying is particular

Floor tiles should be pasted from inside to outside. If the ground has a slope or a floor drain, attention should be paid to find the slope according to the drainage direction; wall tiles should be pasted from bottom to top. For the sake of beauty, the bottom brick should be pasted later. After the wall tiles are pasted, the floor tiles are pressed. When there is half a brick, it should be placed below it as much as possible. In addition, one wall cannot be pasted to the top at one time, in case the tiles have a large weight and cause collapse.

3. Wall tiles should be fully soaked

Wall tiles have a high moisture content, which must be taken into account when pasting. The base layer should be fully watered and wet before tiling, and the tiles should be soaked in water for at least 20 minutes before use. Otherwise, the moisture in the mortar will be quickly absorbed by the dry base and tiles and quickly condense, which will affect its bonding fastness. Wall tiles also absorb moisture from the cement, preventing the cement from acting as an adhesive. In addition, the water absorption rate of each brand of wall tiles is different, which depends on experience.
